In 2010 he was the No. 1 Irish wolfhound in the U.S. and at the Eukanuba, Somerset dangle cuff received an award of excellence and recognition for outstanding confirmation and presentation. In January, at the Golden Gate Kennel Club in San Francisco, he won his breed both days, won first in the hound group and went in for best of show. He was among the top seven dogs Somerset heart ring best of show. He was also featured in a number of magazines including Dog News, Sight and Scent, Dogs and Review and Show Site. "I started off just wanting him in the top 10 and when we started holding No. 1 positions I didn't want to let go," Hawksworth says. "It's hard to realize you've got the No. 1. "It's really rewarding," she says. "It gives a sense of giving back to someone who needs a spiritual uplift to brighten their day."
