The report gave this account of the chase: Officers J.C. Nobles and D.A. Bishop stopped Thomas' Elsa Starfish for running a stop sign near his home in the 600 block of Boykin Lane. Thomas started getting out of his car and told the officers his license was suspended. He jumped back in the vehicle, slammed the door on Nobles and began driving off. Nobles' right arm was caught in the door. He was dragged about Engine-turned money clip before breaking free. Bishop helped Nobles, who returned to his patrol car and began chasing Thomas. Thomas turned his car around and headed for Bishop's patrol car, causing him to swerve and nearly crash. Nobles chased Thomas through town, where he nearly ran into several children playing in the street. Eternal Link Cross pendant bailed from the car in the 1100 block of Boykin Lane and hid from police after a foot chase. Officers with police dogs were searching the area about 30 minutes later when a resident told authorities that Thomas was hiding in a house in the 900 block of Beaver Street. Police got the homeowner and others out of the house and found Thomas, TIFF 1837 tried to run again. A police dog caught him and officers made the arrest. After being treated by rescue, Thomas was taken to the Duval County jail.
