Carter was killed Nov. 1, 2005, inside the couple's home on Discount Tiffany Keys. During the trial, both sides agreed that the couple, who married in February 2005, had a stormy relationship. They accused each other of having affairs, and often exchanged letters about their feelings, the lawyers said. But prosecutor Discount Tiffany Money Clips told jurors that Kendricks was a jealous man who shot his wife in the top of her head to make it look like a suicide. Police didn't find a gun near Carter's body or in the home, he said. Kendricks also evaded police for three days before he was arrested, he said.Discount Tiffany Necklaces, who defended Kendricks, told the panel that Carter committed suicide and that her client panicked because he believed police would blame him. Carter left two suicide notes and had sought help in a psychiatric facility, Discount Tiffany Notes said. Authorities also found gunshot residue on her hand -- evidence that showed she had fired a weapon -- and methamphetamine in her system, O'Neill said. Jurors deliberated over two days before reaching a decision. After the verdict was announced, Kendricks' family left Judge W. Kent Hamlin's courtroom in tears. Carter's family didn't show up for the announcement. "They just convicted an innocent man," said Kendricks' cousin, Lisa Carter. "It's so sad that Tiffany's gone, but everyone knows she killed herself." Wright said Fresno police detective Richard Byrd deserves praise for putting together a solid case against Kendricks.
