Tiffany King led West Central with 23 points and said the team was expecting Discount Welder to play with some fire early on in the game. The Lady Hawks did just that and played a little physical, too. "We had played them before and it was very physical," King said. "There was a lot of emotion on the floor. It was very personal. We knew they were going to come out for blood and that's what they did." Discount Wyler coach Brian Bettis knew his girls would have no problems dealing with the physical play. "It was that way last time," Bettis said. "You've got two teams that get after it and aren't going to lay down and let you do whatever you want. Discount Zenith were a lot of bodies flying around. That's an indication of the effort from both teams. We're used to physical play so that's not a problem for us." The crowd and emotion lifted the Lady Hawks early on, and Carrollton held a 9-7 lead midway through the first. But West Central fought back late in the quarter to go up Cheap Tiffany Earrings after one. Cassidy Kaufmann keyed the early comeback with six first-quarter points. "Cassidy made some amazing drives," King said. "I think that really helped us out -- our drives and our outside shooting, because they were doubling down and we can't always get it inside." The Lady Cougars started to take control in the second quarter with a late 7-1 run that gave West Central a 27-14 lead at halftime.
