The international firm has identified approximately Discount ChronoSwiss and international banking clients with which it wants to strengthen relationships and cross-sell into other departments at the firm. The narrowed focus will see Discount Concord concentrate on a select band of key clients - including HSBC, Credit Suisse, UBS, Barclays and JP Morgan - with which it already has established links in its Discount Ferrari office. The firm has assembled a crossdepartmental team of partners to lead the drive, which will initially focus on London but may be rolled out more widely if it proves successful. The Discount Girard-Perregaux team will meet every few weeks to assess the range of work that the firm currently undertakes for each of the selected clients so that it can assess how better to serve those with which it has the strongest ties. By narrowing the focus of the practice, the firm is hoping to be able to increase the work it does for the banks - not just advising them on deals, but also on internal legal work such as employment issues.
